At present, the number of China's artificial leather products manufacturing equipment has reached about 1000, imported equipments, mainly from Italy, Japan, Korea and other countries. Domestic equipment production of artificial leather products and capacity, production technology has been fully achieved the advanced level of developed countries. Now China's artificial leather industry are mainly focus on the microfiber artificial leather and breathable leather lead. There are plenty enterprises like Hunan Ansu, Tantai Wanhua, Beijing Kelaisipi which their modern equipment has reached the level of developed countries, and get a further improvement by listed. The production of artificial leather in 2001 was 510,000 tons. PVC artificial leather production in Jiangsu was 35.7%; 26.8% in Guangdong and Zhejiang accounted for 17.6%. Tonnage of production last year increased 16% over the previous year. Last year, production of artificial leather increased 16% over the previous year. Functional high-end artificial products accounted for one-third of total production. National Statistical analysis showed that there are 10.7 million artificial leather industrial workers, annual sales of more than 150 million, total assets have reached more than 120 billion.
